If you want to feel better and free yourself from the thoughts and feelings that are upsetting you, we can work together to accomplish that goal. I can show you how to resolve your concerns with the use of effective, research-based tools. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the most researched and effective form of therapy to help you start feeling better and living your life in a more satisfying and happy manner.
For the last five years, I have trained at Stanford University with David Burns, M.D., renowned adjunct professor of psychiatry at Stanford and one of the world's leading experts and authors on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ("CBT"). Through this program, I have become certified as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist by the Feeling Good Institute in Mountainview, CA and I teach seminars on this subject to other professionals. CBT is a goal oriented, practical, collaborative treatment focused on changing patterns of thinking or behavior that are preventing patients from overcoming their difficulties.
In addition to a Ph.D. degree in Psychology and a Level Three Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I also hold a Post-Doctoral Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology, which enables me to assess whether medication may be helpful to my patients.
Whether it's couples therapy or family therapy, I can help.
